Our Story
SBM Inc. was founded in 2022 by Dr. Sadie McConner, inspired by the documentary "PUSH OUT: Criminalization of Black Girls" by Monique Morris. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where BIPOC Youth can thrive, learn, and grow into confident leaders.
Through our comprehensive programs and community engagement, we aim to address the unique challenges faced by BIPOC Youth and provide them with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed.
Our Vision
"Our future does not belong to us - Sacrifice, Believe, and Manifest for good."
We envision a future where every Youth in Volusia County has access to quality education, mentorship, and opportunities to reach their full potential.
Our Values
Excellence
We strive for excellence in all we do, setting high standards and encouraging our participants to do the same in their academic and personal pursuits.
Empowerment
We believe in empowering young people to find their voice, develop their strengths, and become confident leaders in their communities.
Community
We foster a sense of belonging and community, creating a supportive environment where Youth can grow, learn, and thrive together.
